Background

The Ito do not use Yarimen as rank and file, preferring weapons that can be used to strike deadly blows using all their strength or skill. The Ashigaru are trained in Naginata and Tachi to this end.
Gunso are often given spears to signify their rank, but the Ito make wickedly barbed devices that lacerate and butcher the enemy, causing horrific wounds.
Never has a weapon more suited Akane, she delights in stabbing her opponents until the entire barbed blade is in them and holding them in place while their ruined bodies drain of blood.
